Customs Brokerage
AAI is a fully local Philippine company offering integrated logistics and freight forwarding solutions — including customs brokerage services directly within our organization.
What sets us apart from multinational freight forwarders is our in-house customs brokerage capability, fully accredited and compliant under Philippine law. This means AAI doesn’t outsource customs clearance — we provide one-stop, legally compliant support from shipment movement to final customs release.

Customs Brokerage - A Regulated Profession in the Philippines
In the Philippines, customs brokerage is not simply a logistics service — it is a profession governed by specific laws and regulations. The key legal framework is Republic Act No. 9280, also known as the Customs Brokers Act of 2004 — an act that:

-
Professionalizes customs brokerage as a licensed profession.
-
Requires customs brokers to pass a licensure exam and be registered with the Professional Regulatory Board for Customs Brokers.
-
Prohibits unauthorized practice of the profession.
-
States that no person shall practice or offer to practice the customs broker profession unless duly licensed.

Under Section 28 of RA 9280, practicing customs brokerage without proper registration and licensing is prohibited.
